Let's suppose for a moment that you've baked a cake and it's
turned out badly.
Who are you going to blame? The cake?
You could blame the oven for not being the right
temperature. But you were in charge of the oven. If it wasn't working properly
you should have fixed it or used a different oven.
You could blame the ingredients. But you chose the
ingredients so if they were the wrong ones or they were of poor quality, silly you for still
expecting the cake to turn out well.
If someone builds a car from all its component parts then
blames the car when it falls apart or the engine doesn’t work, do they blame
the car? If they do, wouldn’t we say they were more than a little crazy!
So why would your god blame the humans you say he made —
in his image —
for not meeting his standards and for not being as 'good' as he demands they
be? Isn’t god to blame for poor workmanship?
If your god was lonely up there in heaven and wanted some
company, why didn't he just make some perfect beings and save us all a lot of
trouble and suffering?

I'm not even-handed. And while I believe in 'balance' in viewpoints there are enough god-bothering sites out there for the turgid rants of the rabid. Your comment will be posted only if you mind your manners. And perhaps not even then.
